POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE:                            Solar Technician
SUPERVISOR:              Operations Manager
CLASSIFICATION:        Full-Time


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with all structural reinforcement upgrades
  • Dig and back fill trenches for underground PV conduit
  • Stage materials for commercial projects
  • Fill in on solar installation crew when necessary and after adequate training
  • Install critter guard and snow guard
  • Assist with troubleshooting solar system issues
  • Participate in month-end inventory count
  • Assist with inventory receiving and solar project staging
  • Shovel snow off roofs and around buildings during winter months
  • Maintain a safe work environment, we follow OSHA regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year carpentry and framing experience
  • Comfortable working on pitched roofs
  • Must be proud of your work, take ownership, and be passionate about quality of workmanship
  • Work well in a team environment & have good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screen
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions
  • Electrical and/or solar experience a plus
